Kathy Jumper To Be Appointed to Library Board of Trustees

(Released March 22, 2011) – The Lucas County Commissioners took action March 15 to appoint Kathy Jumper to the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library Board of Trustees. Ms. Jumper is scheduled to be sworn in on Thursday, March 31 at Main Library, 325 Michigan St., during her first meeting as a trustee. Library Board of Trustee meetings start at 8:30 a.m.

Ms. Jumper was appointed to a seven-year Library board term scheduled to expire on January 10, 2018. She has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry and has worked in the commercial and retail areas of banking. She is the Senior Vice President/Retail Executive for Northwestern Ohio Fifth Third Bank.

Ms. Jumper is active in the Northwestern Ohio community and is an appointed board member of the Work Force Investment Board for Lucas County. During a former residency in Nevada, she served on the Henderson Library Board and Henderson Development Association Board. As a 2001 Leadership graduate, her class secured and renovated the first Nevada homeless teen center. Ms. Jumper served as a past Honorary Commander of the Nellis Air Force Support Team. Nellis Air Force Base is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ms. Jumper, of Maumee, is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and has an MBA and postgraduate degree from the American Banker Association Stonier Executive Banking School, of Georgetown University.

Ms. Jumper is engaged to Sam Rubinstein and the couple have two dogs. The couple enjoys boating and look forward to exploring the river and lake.
