PRIZM's Annual Juried Exhibition to Open at Owens

PRIZM Creative Community’s fifth annual juried exhibition will open with a reception on Thursday evening May the 12th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Walter E. Terhune Gallery at Owens Community College. The show, entitled Art-A-Fair 2011, features visual and literary art created by PRIZM members and is free and open to the public. The show will continue on Monday May 16th through Thursday June 9th with gallery hours Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Due to conservation measures at Owens all buildings are closed outside of these hours, as well as Memorial Day.

The Opening Reception will reveal awards in Art and Literature named after famous artists and authors. Long time PRIZM member Harley King, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies to present this year’s outstanding accomplishments in Art and Literature. Serving as the Art judges for Art-A-Fair 2011 will be two of Toledo’s most successful artists, Shawn Messenger and Jack Schmidt, while the literature will be judged by freelance writer and editor Elizabeth Irwin.
