Toledo Mud Hens Announce 2012 Schedule

(Toledo, OH) – The Toledo Mud Hens announced today that their 2012 season schedule is complete. The Mud Hens will open the 144-game season at home vs. Indianapolis on Friday, April 6 at 5:00 p.m.

The Hens’ opening homestand will be seven games in length with a three-game series vs. the Indianapolis Indians followed by a four- game series with the Louisville Bats.
The Hens’ first 20 games of the 2012 season are against divisional opponents. The Hens host the Gwinnett Braves starting on April 27, marking the first game against a non-divisional foe.

Toledo will play 35 of their 72 home games on weekend dates (10 Fridays, 12 Saturdays, and 13 Sundays). Toledo will also be home on Easter Sunday (April 8), the 4th of July, and will close the season at home on Labor Day (September 3).

The 2012 season will mark the 26th consecutive season as the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, as well as the 11th season of play at Fifth Third Field.

All 10 Opening Day games at Fifth Third Field have been standing room only sell-out crowds. Single-game tickets for the 2012 season will go on sale at a later date.

Full and partial season ticket plans for the 2012 season are on sale now. Fans can purchase season ticket packages by calling the Hens at 419-725-HENS. Fans can also start booking their group outing for the 2012 season. Toledo is coming off a near-record season in overall groups sales.
