Toledo, Ohio—No matter what age you are, you’re sure to have fond memories of the Toledo Zoo. Folks 60 and over can reconnect with those memories all through October, continuing the popular Senior Discovery Days which started last month. Explore your Zoo in a whole new way – with free admission and special events.

Each Tuesday (October 4, 11, 18 and 25) brings a new adventure at the Zoo, from free guided tours of our stunning gardens and historic buildings to a free big band music concert in our Nairobi Event Pavilion. But the fun isn’t limited to Tuesdays! Each weekday offers seniors free parking in the Anthony Wayne Trail lot, free fresh-brewed coffee and a mini-muffin in the Zoo’s North Star Trading Post®, seniors-only discounts and more.

October’s free tours of the Zoo’s Works Progress Administration (WPA) era buildings, including the Aquarium and Reptile House, begin at 11 a.m. and last 30 to 60 minutes. To reserve your spot on a specific tour, call (419) 385-5721, ext. 2110. For more information and a schedule of all the activities, visit the Zoo’s website at toledozoo.org/seniors.

The Toledo Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 25), four miles south of downtown Toledo. For more information, please visit toledozoo.org or call (419) 385-4040. Lucas County residents are admitted free of charge each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon.
