Lourdes University Music Department presents a Fall Music Showcase
Sunday, October 9, 3-6 pm, Franciscan Center of Lourdes University

3:00 pm — Opening Concert: Lourdes Students, Faculty & Friends:
Lourdes music faculty, students and guests in a variety of solo and chamber ensemble works plus “Save the Earth” folksong sing-along with Mike Biscay.

4:00 pm – Special Presentation: The Gaudete Brass Quintet
The Gaudete Brass Quintet from Chicago performs brass chamber music with the Lourdes University Chorus. Read more here: http://www.gaudetebrass.com/

5:00 pm — Choral Finale: Songs to Save the Earth
The Lourdes Choirs and soloists will sing songs for environmental sustainability with a caring for creation. Includes a sing-a-long for audience participation. Associate Professor of Biology & Health Sciences James Minesky, PhD, will speak briefly on “The Year of the Forest” and campus sustainability events at the Sylvania Franciscan Village in October. A photo collage featuring the works of noted Toledo-Area Nature Photographer Jim Hagan will accompany the singing!
