During the final week of preparation for Stand Up Toledo, JL Entertainment has been dealing with several stressful situations. One of which is selecting reliable personnel to assist with the event. Then the call came in from LionFace Productions saying they had several volunteers available to assist with the event and would love to be involved with such a great local event.

Lionface Productions is an independent Theater Company based in Bowling Green OH. They intend to specialize in experimental, absurdist and post-modern plays, along with the occasional Shakespeare just to show that they’re still classy. They are also interested in producing original work from local playwrights. If you have any submissions for, questions about, or a desire to join LionFace Productions, e-mail them at lionface.productions@gmail.com.
Past performances:

Titus Andronicus by William Shakespeare, Aug. 2009
Macbeth by William Shakespeare, Sep. 2010
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), Oct. 2010
Winter One Acts, February 2011
Tape by Stephen Belber, April 2011
Upcoming Performances:

The Tempest by William Shakespeare, September 8, 9, 10, and 11
Bug by Tracy Letts (Autumn 2011)
Winter One Acts 2012 (Winter 2012)
Murder in the Cathedral by T.S. Eliot (Spring 2012)

“For our second season Lionface Productions continues to push forward towards our goals of bringing new and exciting things to the theatrical pallet of the Bowling Green area. Some of these new things come from old places, like the ageless wisdom and comedy of The Bard. Some from the works of seldom produced but widely celebrated authors of a more modern voice. Others will come from current authors writing some of the more interesting pieces being produced today. And once again we will hear the brand new and unheard voices of our world premier authors. All the while we will strive to build upon the blocks of last season while looking forward to a future of more new and exciting artistic possibilities.”
We are proud to have LionFace Productions on board with this event!!!
