Second City Returns to the Valentine

On Friday, March 9, Chicago’s legendary sketch comedy
theatre, The Second City will appear at The Valentine at 8 pm. This special performance will feature some of the best sketches, songs, and improvisations from The Second City’s fifty year history. The Second City is truly a Chicago landmark and a national treasure.

The Second City’s Laugh Out Loud tour takes unbridled comic pleasure in the foibles
of our politicians, celebrities and even our significant others. No institution escapes
the satiric eye of The Second City – from the blowhards of the Beltway to the
Hollywood elite. Ripped from the stages of Second City’s legendary theatres in
Chicago and Toronto, The Second City’s Fair & Unbalanced is a hilarious ride
through present day America.

The Second City celebrates 50 years of cutting edge satiric revues and continues to
deliver the leading voices in comedy while touring the globe. With scripted and
improvisational elements, audiences always enjoy being part of the show and playing
along with the next generation of comic legends. Their alumni list reads like a who’s
who of American comedy, as it includes: Mike Nichols, Elaine May, Alan Arkin,
Joan Rivers, Robert Klein, Peter Boyle, Harold Ramis, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd,
