Village Players Presents School for Husbands by Moliere

In a departure from its usual season, The Village Players Theatre is proud to present a play by 17th century French playwright, Moliere, titled, “School for Husbands.” It is being directed by Barbara Barkin. Here is classical theatre at its funniest and most engaging ever! In the battle of the sexes, who trains whom?

Two brothers who are guardians to two sisters have very different theories of how to school their wards. Sganarelle imposes a stern and repressive upbringing on his ward, while Ariste treats his young ward with love and compassion. Moliere deliciously shows us that Sganarelle’s folly is no match for a woman’s resourcefulness. All this is played out in a beautiful garden set with gorgeous costumes.

The show will run from March 9th – 24th on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm with one matinee on Sunday, March 18th at 2 pm.
Tickets are available online at www.thevillageplayerstheatre.org or by calling (419) 472-6817. Admission is $14 for general admission and $12 for seniors (60+) and students.
