Vineyard Adventures Continue at The Zoo

For a walk on the wild side, take a Vineyard Adventure to the Toledo Zoo on Friday, June 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. – and check out the newly opened Tembo Trail, too.

Tembo Trail is the Zoo’s dynamic new elephant exhibit that blends extraordinary elephant care with extraordinary visitor experiences. In this exotic setting of elephants, hippos, rhinos and other African wildlife, you’ll enjoy gourmet wine-tasting, hors d’oeuvres, live music and socializing, all at an after-hours Zoo that’s open only for Vineyard Adventure guests.

Besides being a great date night, Vineyard Adventure makes a lively girls’ night out or just a fun getaway for friends. And don’t miss your opportunity to test your taste buds during the Guess the Grape challenge!

This is a strolling/grazing event, and space is limited. Reserve your spot by calling the Zoo at 419.385.5721, extension 6001, by 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 31. Online reservations are also available at

You must be 21 or over to attend any Vineyard Adventure. Tickets must be purchased in advance and reservations are required. Tickets are $35 for Zoo members and $40 for non-members.

In June, the Toledo Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 25), four miles south of downtown Toledo. For more information and all the affordable fun at your Toledo Zoo, please visit or call (419) 385-4040. Lucas County residents are admitted free of charge each Monday from 10 am to noon. ID showing proof of residency is required.
