Yappy Hours At The Toledo Area Human Society

In addition to “$5 Fridays” announced earlier this week, the Toledo Area Humane Society is also introducing “Yappy Hours” every Tuesday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, May 29 through Friday, June 29.

During “Yappy Hours” all cats, kittens, dogs and puppies (over the age of 4 months) will have their adoption fee reduced up to 50%. Adoption fee discounts will be greater (50%) for those animals that have been at the Humane Society the longest. (On Fridays, the $5 Friday adoption fee will override the “Yappy Hours” adoption discounts.)

Similar to “$5 Fridays”, the Toledo Area Humane Society hopes that “Yappy Hours” will bring more people into the Humane Society to potentially meet their new best friends. The more animals TAHS can help find new homes for, the more animals they can bring into the shelter to help.

“$5 Fridays” begin Friday, May 25 and goes through Friday, June 29 as well. Every Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., all cats and kittens will have their adoption fees reduced to just $5 each! No matter what type of cat or kitten you’re looking for, the Toledo Area Humane Society is sure to have it – long-haired, short-haired, orange, black, gray, tabby, calico, or tiger-striped!

Because adoption fees will be so greatly reduced during “$5 Fridays”, TAHS wants to remind adopters that donations are greatly appreciated in addition to the reduced adoption fees to help cover their costs and to help them help more animals. All cats, kittens, dogs and puppies adopted from the Toledo Area Humane Society are spayed or neutered, get microchipped, receive their age-appropriate vaccines and get a physical exam by our on-staff veterinarians.

The Toledo Area Humane Society is open Tuesday through Friday from 11am – 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 6pm. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization they are committed to the welfare of animals by providing temporary shelter and care while seeking permanent homes. Donations from local individuals, corporations and monies generated by fundraisers and earned revenue are a major source of funding for the Toledo Area Humane Society.
