“Be it advertising agencies, media, universities, manufacturing or professional services, creativity and innovation are critical leadership competencies for all organizations,” commented AdClub President, Patrick Giammarco. “It’s imperative that organizations in the region continuously manufacture new ideas and innovative products and services to stay competitive in today’s market,” Giammarco continued. “That’s why we themed this year’s AdWORKS ‘Innovation and Creativity Summit’ and why we’re trying to bring Jim Link to town.”

Jim Link has spent nearly his entire career generating, refining and marketing new ideas. His creativity has attracted many of the world’s biggest and brightest companies. He began his marketing career at General Mills, where he led new product efforts in the Snacks, Cereal, and Meals divisions. Seeking to branch out into even more categories, Jim started one of the world’s first idea companies in 1994.

In addition to his consulting work, Jim conducts training workshops on creativity and positioning. He’s an instructor at the prestigious 3M Marketing University, which reaches marketing, sales, and communication professionals across the globe. He also teaches creativity as a guest lecturer at major universities. He received his BA from Ohio Wesleyan University and his MBA in marketing from Michigan State University.

Jim’s book, IDEA-LINKS: The New Creativity hit the shelves in March, 2012 and was recently named an Indie Groundbreaking Book by Independent Publisher Magazine.
