2012 Election Forum: Freedom at the Polls . . .

The Art Tatum African American Resource Center (ATAARC) is scheduled to present 2012 Election Forum: Freedom at the Polls . . . from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18 at the Kent Branch Library @CCESS Center, 3101 Collingwood Blvd.

The public is invited to attend this FREE election forum moderated by The Juice 107.3 FM talk show host Schylar Meadows and University of Toledo Anthropology assistant professor Willie L. McKether, Ph.D. This non-partisan event will focus on the impact of recent changes in election laws on area citizens.

Toledo City Councilwoman Paula Hicks Hudson (District 4) and local business leader Jan Scotland will be among the local officials and citizens who will discuss current issues, past voting experiences and voters’ rights in advance of the November election.

This forum is part of the Tatum Center’s series of programs commemorating
the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, Forever Free: Reflections of the Emancipation Proclamation (1863)
