Toledo, Ohio (September 5, 2012) – The Toledo Professional Remodelers Organization (PRO) and Sylvania Southview High School have joined forces for Project H.A.V.E.N. (Home Accessibility for Val’s Exceptional Needs), an initiative started by students to help fellow Cougar, Valeria Taylor, who is confined to a wheelchair due to complications from premature birth.
Southview students raised money through their annual ‘Dance for a Chance’ Dance Marathon, to get Project H.A.V.E.N. started and teamed up with the Professional Remodeler’s Organization to plan, design and build a new 1,500 square foot, handicap-accessible home to better meet the Taylor’s unique needs.
“The support from Sylvania Southview High School, Sylvania Township and members of PRO has been overwhelming,” said Rick Morel, Executive Director of PRO. “We are still in need of additional resources, supplies and volunteers. Anyone who wants to help can call the PRO office at 419.471.0101,” he continued.
A groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 3347 Cason Avenue, Toledo, OH 43615 from 3-4 pm on Wednesday, September 5. The event is free and open to the community.
Donations of time, material and money are welcome and appreciated. For additional information or to offer support, please call the Professional Remodeler’s Organization at 419.471.0101.
