Luther Haus senior apartment community, located at 800 Smith Road in Temperance, Michigan, will be hosting a Flu Shot Clinic & Senior Health Fair from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012. The event is open to the public and includes the chance to win an electric scooter.
The community event will include flu shots provided by Crary Drug. The shots are $25, if not covered by insurance. Free blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, balance screenings, walker adjustments, and other health information will be available through local health care service providers.
Raffle tickets for the electric scooter are $1 each. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at the Luther Haus office or the Bedford Senior Center, 1653 Samaria Road in Temperance. Raffle tickets also will be sold at the event, which includes tours of the senior community and light refreshments. The winner of the scooter does not have to be present to win.
