Rock hit-makers Sponge perform a FREE show at the Hollywood Casino Toledo on Thursday, October 25, 2012. The band hits the stage at the casino’s H Lounge at 9 pm. Ages 21 and over are welcome to attend.
Hailing from Detroit, Sponge gained widespread notoriety with their debut album “Rotting Piñata.” Hits like “Plowed” and “Molly (16 Candles)” fueled massive airplay on commercial radio and were in heavy rotation on MTV. Still a mainstay on rock radio stations throughout the nation, Sponge continues to be an in-demand live act, earning acclaim for their no-holds-bar live shows.
Sponge’s hit song “Plowed” will be featured in the new movie “Chasing Mavericks” starring Gerard Butler and Elisabeth Shue. Co-directed by Curtis Hanson and Michael Apted about the life of American surfer Jay Moriarity, “Chasing Mavericks” hits theatres nationwide on October 26, introducing a whole new generation of music fans to Sponge.
