Launch Pad Cooperative is proud to announce the first of our Lecture Series to be held on November 14th, 2012. The topic of discussion for the evening will be entitled “Drawing in Contemporary Visual Art,” to coincide with the exhibition “And Nothing Turned In On Itself” by Launch Pad Cooperative Core Member Ian Welch. Mr. Welch will moderate a panel of artists featuring Bowling Green State University instructors Brandon Briggs and Charlie Kanwischer, along with Detroit artist Laura Makar. The public is invited to ask questions of the panel and participate in the discussion throughout the evening.

This will be the first of an ongoing Wednesday night lecture series offering a variety of topics mostly coinciding with the nature of art and contemporary visual culture, with the events being free and open to the community and all ages welcome to attend.

Doors for the event will open at 6:30pm with the panel discussion beginning promptly at 7pm. The Lecture Series will be free to the public, with beverages being BYOB.

Launch Pad Cooperative is an artist-run gallery that was established in 2012 with the intent to facilitate a network for emerging visual artists and creative writers of high quality who wish to enrich the community of Toledo and beyond.
