Catholic Club Presents Super Saturdays

Sometimes Saturdays for busy parents aren’t so “super”. With limited time to get errands done, clean the house, catch up on sleep, or any other activities that are made easier when done solo, the weekends can turn frantic rather than relaxing. The Catholic Club knows just the fix, and starting this month of October, running all the way through May they offer “Super Saturdays” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Saturday of every month.

“We began implementing Super Saturdays because we wanted to provide a fun and safe environment for kids to hang out on the weekends. Super Saturdays also help parents out knowing that their children are in good hands, without having to worry about hiring a babysitter,” said Paul Szymanski, Executive Director of Catholic Club.

On Super Saturdays children, who must be currently in grades 1-6, participate in swimming, gym games, and crafts. All that they are asked to bring is a packed lunch and a bathing suit and towel.

“Over here at Catholic Club we like to keep kids active, while watching them have fun. We want as many children to utilize this wonderful program as possible so we keep our rates low—members are free, and non-members cost only $1 per child per Saturday,” Szymanski said.

Catholic Club invites all children to join them for Super Saturdays at 1601 Jefferson Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43604. The next Super Saturday will be November 3.

Founded in 1942, the Catholic Club offers educational childcare programs to all families throughout Toledo, regardless of their religious affiliation. The Catholic Club serves children aging from six weeks to 14 years old. The Catholic Club also offers parenting classes and swimming lessons.
