The Town Center at Levis Commons is once again spearheading a collection drive to provide Easter baskets for local children in need. Donations for the 5th Annual Baskets of Cheer Drive are being collected through March 25th at Books-A-Million and Max & Erma’s at The Town Center at Levis Commons. Requested items include candy, books, DVD’s and small toys. With the help and generosity of the Northwest Ohio community, the goal for this year’s drive is to assemble and deliver 50 baskets.

The Easter baskets will be donated to the Cocoon Shelter and the Perrysburg Christian United
Food Pantry, both located in Wood County. The Cocoon Shelter offers a place for safety, healing and justice for battered women and children in Wood County. The Perrysburg Christians United Food Pantry serves residents in need in Wood County by providing them with free groceries twice a month.

“Each year we are humbled by the donations we receive and grateful for the smiles we are able to put on the children’s faces,” said Casey Pogan, Marketing Director, Hill Partners, Inc., The Town Center at Levis Commons. “By providing these children with Easter baskets, they will have the chance to enjoy the holiday in a way that otherwise may not have been possible.”

On Saturday, March 9th, The Town Center at Levis Commons will host an “Enchanted Tea for Mommy & Me” event at the Hilton Garden Inn. Guests are encouraged to bring a donation for the Baskets of Cheer Drive to help support less fortunate families in our area and to teach the young girls a valuable lesson in giving back. Tickets for the Enchanted Tea Party are $15 for adults, $12 for children and FREE for one stuffed friend. Following the tea party, guests are invited to a showing of “Oz: The Great & Powerful” at Rave Levis Commons. Tickets for the tea party and the movie can be purchased online at www.shopleviscommons.com or by calling 419-931-8888.
