Toledo, OH – Bunnies are often popular pets around the Easter Holiday. However, the Toledo Area Humane Society wants to remind everyone that just like cats and dogs, rabbits require proper care and attention and should not be adopted on a whim. If you are considering adopting a bunny rabbit, please consider adopting from the Humane Society or another local rescue organization.

All rabbits adopted from the Toledo Area Humane Society have been spayed or neutered and have received a check-up from our on-staff veterinarians. Many of them are also already litter-trained and have been in homes before, making them a good option if you are considering adding a bunny to your family.

The bunnies at TAHS are hoping you’re hop on over and meet them between Saturday, March 23 and Saturday, March 30. To celebrate the Easter holiday and help some of their bunnies find loving, forever homes, the Humane Society is offering fee-waived adoption specials on their hoppy friends. (All adopters will still be required to follow the regular adoption procedures.)

Adopt your new best friend between Saturday, March 23 and Saturday, March 30 and get a photo taken of you and your new pet in our kissing booth! Plus, try your luck at the TAHS scavenger hunt. Explore the TAHS shelter and learn more about your favorite local humane society for a chance at a 10%, 20% or 50% discount off all dog and cat adoption fees, or a TAHS baseball cap, a TAHS chocolate bar or a certificate for free nail trims for 6 months!

Pet owners can also stop in with their furry friend(s) and have their photo taken in the kissing booth between March 23 and March 30. Copies of photos can be printed or emailed for a small donation.

Please note: The Toledo Area Humane Society will be closed on Sunday, March 31 in observation of the Easter holiday.

The Toledo Area Humane Society is open Tuesday through Friday from 11am – 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 6pm. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization they are committed to the welfare of animals by providing temporary shelter and care while seeking permanent homes. Donations from local individuals, corporations and monies generated by fundraisers and earned revenue are a major source of funding for the Toledo Area Humane Society.
