Tower Brass Quintet to Perform Two Local Concerts

Nationally-known and Bowling Green-based brass ensemble The Tower Brass Quintet will perform on the Toledo Museum of Art’s Sunday Music Series, April 14, 2013 at 3pm. The concert, entitled “City Sounds” will include compositions by Michael Tilson Thomas, Aaron Copland, Joe Zawinul, David Saygers, Bramwell Tovey and W. C. Handy. The performance will take place in the Great Gallery and there is no admission charge.

On April 28, the Tower Brass will join forces with organist Kevin McGill for a free concert at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 315 S. College. Bowling Green at is 3:00 in the church sanctuary.
William Schmidt’s Chamber Concerto for Organ and Brass and Karg-Elert’s Marche Triomphale are among the collaborative pieces to be performed. Some popular Baroque pieces will also be included on the program. There is no admission charge.
