THE DROWSY CHAPERONE WRAPS UP REP’S 80TH SEASON

Tickets are now on sale for the Toledo Rep’s final presentation of their 80th Anniversary Season, with the hilarious musical The Drowsy Chaperone, with book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar and music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, and directed by Deb Calabrese.
?Uproariously funny musical theatre magically and literally burst to life on stage. One man’s love for a 1920’s era Broadway Musical takes us from his record player into the very world of the show. One of the most heartfelt and beloved Broadway shows in recent years, the family-friendly Drowsy Chaperone, featuring an all-star local cast will play for three weekends, with 8:00 curtains slated for June 7, 8, 14, 15, 20, 21, and 22, and 2:30 matinees on Sunday’s June 16 and 23.

AUDITIONS SET FOR REP’S FORBIDDEN BROADWAY

Auditions have been set for Toledo Rep’s 81st Season opener, the hysterical musical revue, Forbidden Broadway. Auditions will be held by appointment only on Sunday, June 23 from 6-8:00 pm at the Rep, located at 16 Tenth Street in downtown Toledo. Deb Calabrese will direct and choreograph. The show calls for two adult men and two adult women. Those interested in auditioning should posses a flair for comic timing, and are asked to prepare 16 bars from an up-tempo contemporary Broadway musical, and be dressed prepared to move.
