TOLEDO, Ohio — The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Light The Night Walk returns to Toledo, Sunday, October 20, at SeaGate Centre in downtown Toledo. Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. and the walk begins promptly at 7 p.m. Light the Night Walk is a national fundraising event that commemorates and celebrates lives touched by blood cancers. Corporate teams, families and friends partake in an evening walk carrying illuminated balloons – white balloons for survivors, red balloons for supporters and gold balloons in memory of a lost loved one. More than a walk, Light the Night is an inspirational community celebration– a community coming together to take steps to cure cancer.
Entertainment includes live music, an inflatable bounce house, face painting, balloon art, a garden of hope, team photos, remembrance & survivor ceremonies and more.
The entire community is welcome to join Light The Night Walk. Pre-registration is not required. Become a Champion for a Cure by raising $100 or more and receive a Light The Night Walk t-shirt, an illuminated balloon and a wristband for food and refreshments.
