Toledo, OH (August 13, 2013) —
Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio, Inc. (CCNWO) is holding its 5th annual Art Auction fundraiser on Saturday, September 21 from 7-10 PM. This year’s event is being hosted by the Paula Brown Gallery, located at 912 Monroe Street, is free and open to the public. Wine and light appetizers will be served.
This event has a dual purpose. Not only will this fundraiser be promoting local artists, but also allows CCNWO to continue providing free services to cancer patients and their families in our community.
Beautiful and unique pieces of art will be auctioned off. These pieces have been donated by local artists in order to support the mission of this organization and their work. Some of the featured artists include cancer patients and survivors who have utilized art in order to express their personal cancer journey. Each piece represents a different perspective and has a personal meaning.
A preview of the art will be held on Thursday, September 12 from 6-9 PM at the Paula Brown Gallery during the Arts Commission’s Art Walk event. For those who are unable to attend the auction on Saturday, the preview is also an opportunity to bid on the featured art.
CCNWO is a local 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to journey hand-in-hand with those who are afflicted with cancer by connecting individuals to vital resources, providing hands-on support, and creating additional programs that meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of cancer patients and their families in our community.
