Diabetes Education Program with Mercy at Way Library May 1

Jennie Wagner and Rita Sowinski of Mercy will present an educational program on diabetes on Thursday, May 1 at 7 pm at Way Public Library. Jennie Wagner, is a Registered and Licensed Dietician, a Certified Diabetes Educator and is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management. Rita is a Certified Diabetes Educator at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

Jennie and Rita will discuss resources available to help you or a loved one better manage your diabetes. Topics will include a general disease overview, information on medications, nutrition and meal planning, exercise information, blood glucose monitoring, and goal setting.

Free blood pressure screenings will also be offered on May 1 from 6:30-8:00 pm. These events are co-sponsored by Mercy and Way Library and are free and open to the public. No registration required. For more information contact the Way Library Information Desk at 419-874-3135 ext. 119.
