"Running on Empty: The Importance of Sleep"

Michael Neeb, PhD of Mercy will present an educational program titled “Running on Empty: The Importance of Sleep” on Monday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Way Library. The presentation will focus on sleep and sleep disorders.

Dr. Neeb is the director of the Mercy Sleep Disorders Program. Dr. Neeb received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Delaware, and completed his internship in Behavioral Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is board-certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine as a Diplomate in Sleep Medicine, with a second board-certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine. He is the Director of two Sleep Disorders Centers for the Mercy system, as well as the Co-Director of the Children’s Sleep Program at Mercy Children’s Hospital. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the field of sleep medicine, with special interests in the areas of insomnia, pediatric sleep, circadian rhythm disorders, and sleep and public safety.

Free blood pressure screenings will also be offered on June 9 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
