Posted May 27th, 2014 by Rose Mills  Category: Arts & Entertainment

On Wednesday, June 18th at 7 pm, Suzanne Peats will discuss her experience summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with her 11-year-old daughter Alexis “Lexi” Peats. Mt. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, with a height of 19,341 feet. Ms. Peats and her daughter were climbing as part of the non-profit group She Climbs, an organization dedicated to building self-esteem among girls and women. Ms. Peats has climbed two of the seven summits (the highest mountains on each continent) and hopes to attempt more in the following years. Come join us for this fascinating presentation!
The program, sponsored by Directions Credit Union, is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
