Presentation on "The Toledo Troopers" at Way Library

Posted Aug 29th, 2014 by Rose Mills  Category: Arts & Entertainment

Please join us on Wednesday, September 10th at 7 pm as Way Library welcomes members of the Toledo Troopers as well as Steve Guinan and Guy Stout, the screenwriters of the “Perfect Season – The Untold Story of the Toledo Troopers”, the upcoming feature film that will be shot in Toledo.
In 1971, seven years before Title IX was mandated, over a hundred women answered an ad to try out for a professional women’s football team. With no outlet to pursue their desire to play sports, twenty-five of them would become professional football players. By 1979 the Toledo Troopers would become the winningest team in professional football history.

Steve Guinan and Guy Stout are the local screenwriters of “Perfect Season–The Untold Story of the Toledo Troopers”, the upcoming feature film that will be shot in Toledo.

The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
