Way Library’s classic film series, Reel Talk, continues with “Champagne for Caesar,” a 1949 comedy starring Ronald Colman. The golden-voiced English actor plays an unemployed PhD physicist genius who becomes a weekly contestant on television’s biggest quiz show. He slowly proceeds to win the company from the show’s sponsor.
The film co-stars Celeste Holm, Vincent Price, and a very young Art Linkletter, in a rare movie appearance, who plays the program’s announcer.
Dennis Vaughn, area film buff, will be guest speaker. “Champagne for Caesar” will be shown on Thursday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m. Admission and refreshments are free. The Reel Talk Classic Film Series is sponsored by Master Chemical. For more information, visit the library’s website at waylibrary.info or call 419-874-3135.
