The American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio is proudly participating in Giving Tuesday as a means to raise money to continue to provide assistance down the street, across the country and around the world. The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Your generosity truly matters on this special day, Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. This day falls after Thanksgiving and the retail deal days such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, giving you a chance to make a difference and donate to a good cause. By joining the Giving Tuesday initiative on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, you are able to choose a charity that touches your heart, and join a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.

“Giving Tuesday is truly a blessing for organizations like American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio. Generous contributions from those who recognize our mission and share our core values are what allow us to keep operating as a trusted resource for those in need,” said Chris Diefenthaler, American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio Chapter.

The American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio responds to people in crisis in our community every 19 hours. Your support gives a sense of hope to people facing life-changing events. We offer a broad range of help in areas such as disaster relief, preparedness and education, service to the armed forces, health and safety training, international humanitarian services and blood services.
