"Human Trafficking in Ohio" is topic of program at Way

On Tuesday, January 13 at 7 pm, Way Library, in cooperation with the League of Women Voters of the Perrysburg Area (LWVPA), welcomes Laura Neal of Lucas County Family Services for a talk on human trafficking.
Ms. Neal is the Assistant Manager of the Family Services Department for Lucas County Family Services and has a Masters of Education from the University of Toledo. The program will include an overview on what human trafficking is and is broken down into three parts, the victims, the traffickers, and the purchasers. Attendees will learn about Ohio Safe Harbor and End Demand Acts, the different recruitment strategies used by the traffickers, and what to do if one suspects a child is being trafficked.
This program is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served.
