Posted Feb 6th, 2015 by Rose Mills  Category: Arts & Entertainment

On Thursday, February 19th at 10:30 a.m., WGTE and Way Library will present “American Experience: The Forgotten Plague”. Tuberculosis is the deadliest killer in human history, responsible for one in four deaths for almost two centuries. While it shaped medical pursuits, social habits, economic development and public policy, TB and its impact are poorly understood. “The Forgotten Plague,” a new “American Experience” documentary examines the deadly story of TB in America and the hunt for a cure. A discussion will follow the screening.

This program is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served.
