11th annual Research & Scholarship Symposium scheduled

Lourdes University is pleased to host the 11th annual Research & Scholarship Symposium on Monday, April 27 from 4 to 9 p.m. The event takes place at the Franciscan Center of Lourdes University at 6832 Convent Blvd. in Sylvania. The event is free and open to the public.

The annual Research & Scholarship Symposium highlights research and scholarly work conducted by undergraduate and graduate students at Lourdes University through poster sessions and formal presentations. Diverse research topics across many disciplines are presented each year.

In 2014, more than 40 posters and presentations were given at the symposium. Guest speaker for the 2015 symposium is Tom Brady. Chairman and founder of Plastic Technologies, Mr. Brady is also a member of the Lourdes University Board of Trustees. Chairs for the 2015 Research & Scholarship Symposium are James Chamberlain, M.S., assistant professor of biology and health sciences; and James Minesky, Ph.D., associate professor of environmental sciences.
