Presentation on "Black Swamp Conservancy" at Way

On Tuesday, April 14th at 7 pm, Way Library, in cooperation with the League of Women Voters of the Perrysburg Area (LWVPA), welcomes Sarah Brokamp for a presentation on the Black Swamp Conservancy.
The Black Swamp Conservancy takes direct action to permanently preserve northwest Ohio’s natural habitats and family farms for the benefit of future generations. Since its founding in 1993, Black Swamp Conservancy has permanently protected more than 14,000 acres of northwest Ohio’s most productive farm ground and most important natural areas. The Conservancy holds more than 100 conservation easements, owns 360 acres of nature preserves and protects land in 13 Ohio counties.
Sarah Brokamp has been with Black Swamp Conservancy since 2011. As advancement coordinator, Sarah oversees the Conservancy’s website and electronic media, member outreach, volunteer coordination, grant writing, special event planning, public relations and education. Sarah is a graduate of BGSU with a degree in environmental policy and analysis and a specialization in natural area restoration. Sarah is a Master Gardener volunteer and Boy Scouts of America counselor. She lives in Haskins with her husband and their two children.
This program is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served.
