OhioMeansJobs.com to Host Career Fair

TOLEDO ? OhioMeansJobs.com, the state’s premier resume and job bank, is hosting a career fair from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 28 at Owens Community College, 30335 Oregon Road, Perrysburg.

The event will begin with a morning session for employers, career counselors and workforce professionals. Speakers will present information about regional workforce trends, as well as information about how OhioMeansJobs.com can benefit employers.

Job seekers are invited to attend in the afternoon. They can meet with employers who are hiring and attend workshops on resume writing, interviewing and more. Although walk-ins are welcome, both job seekers and employers can register for the fair by going to OhioMeansJobs.com and clicking on the “OMJ Career Fairs” icon.

“We invite all Toledo area job seekers to take advantage of this opportunity,” said Cynthia C. Dungey, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. “They can bring their resumes, network with potential employers and learn how to make their job searches more successful. Admission is free, and all are welcome.”

OhioMeansJobs.com was recently expanded into a full-fledged career and employment center. On any given day, it lists tens of thousands of job openings, in addition to many new features. These include a resume builder and rater, a budget calculator, skill and interest assessments, and online tutorials. Users can access the site from their home, office, school, library, military base or any other Internet-connected location or device.
