Way Library presents "Mercy Talks: Stroke"

To coincide with May being American Stroke Month, Dr. Eugene Lin, endovascular neurosurgeon at Mercy Neuroscience, will speak about stroke awareness and prevention.

Stroke is the fourth cause of death and a leading cause of long-term disability in the U.S. A stroke happens every 40 seconds nationwide and occurs when blood flow to the brain is interrupted. Dr. Lin will discuss stroke prevention and how to recognize and respond to sudden warning signs.

The program will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27 in the Mercy Family Activity Center on the library’s main level.

Free blood pressure screenings will be offered from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
