Way Library’s Show Me the Movie contemporary film series selection for July is “The Imitation Game,” a biographical wartime thriller about Englishman Alan Turing. Turing famously led the team that deciphered the purportedly unbreakable codes of the Enigma machine used by the Germans during World War II. His team’s remarkable accomplishment not only shortened WWII but led to the development of the computers we use today.
Released in 2014, “The Imitation Game” stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing and Keira Knightley as Joan Clarke, mathematician and brilliant cryptanalyst at Bletchley Park.
Showtime is at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7. This is a free presentation for adults only, and refreshments will be served. Way Library’s Show Me the Movie series is sponsored by Skotynsky Financial Group. For more information, visit the library’s website at waylibrary.info or call 419-874-3135 extension 119.
