UT Theatre Auditions – August 25-26

The University of Toledo Department of Theatre & Film will be auditioning for its two fall plays on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 25-26, from 6-10 p.m. in the UT Center for Performing Arts Studio Theatre. Information about each of the plays is listed below. AUDITIONS ARE OPEN TO EVERYONE – NOT JUST STUDENTS!

Sign up sheets are available on the Call Board, located in the hallway area just outside the Green Room on the east side of the Center for Performing Arts. (The hallway area is just around the corner from the vending machines.) Please sign up so we can get a count of how many to expect. All those auditioning are expected to stay for the entire audition period (6-10 p.m.)

Written by William Shakespeare Directed by Cornel Gabara. Upon the death of his father, a young prince becomes King of England quickly leaving behind his youth as he rises to power and fame, wielding words as effectively as his sword.
Performance Dates: October 15-18, 20-21, 23-25, 2015

Written by Moises Kaufman and the Members of the Tectonic Theater Project. A startling docudrama about the impact on the town of Laramie, WY and its citizens whose lives were forever impacted by the 1998 brutal beating death of Matthew Shepherd, a gay college student.
Performance Dates: November 20-22, and December 1-2, 4-6, 2015
