UTMC PA Students 5k Race

TOLEDO, OH – Health and wellness is about more than just medicine, it’s about building community and supporting those in need. Toledo’s medical student community embodies this belief each year as the University of Toledo Physician Assistant Program presents the annual Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants 5k/3k Race for a Cause.

This year’s walk/run will be held on Sunday, September 13th, 2015. Registration takes place at 8:15 a.m. with the race following at 9:00 a.m. Proceeds from this year’s race will benefit the Sparrow’s Nest, a shelter for battered and abused women, a service of Cherry Street Mission Ministries. The 2015 SAAAPA Race for a Cause will features opportunities for a 50/50 Raffle during the run, as well as unique and original gift baskets and gift cards to fantastic local businesses. Snacks and refreshments will also be provided. Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 runners in each of the following age groups: 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+. All area community members are invited to participate in this year’s event. Come out and support one of Toledo’s leading medical education programs helping to inspire positive community impact and social change, leading to a better, healthier Toledo.
