Posted Sep 9th, 2015 by Martin Nagy  Category: Events, Toledo.com

Come enjoy the Premier Native American Event in the State of Ohio and the Region by being a part of the beautiful Harvest Festival of the Eastern Woodland American Indians of the North East and Great Lakes. Buttonwood Park, the Gathering Grounds for the Blackswamp Intertribal Powwow in Perrysburg were very seriously damaged by 4 floods of the Maumee River from February to July including a massive ice dam in February and March. Therefore, Seven Eagles Historical Education Center has been selected as a new location for the 2015 Powwow! The event is scheduled for the 26-27 September 2015. Seven Eagles is 25 min due west from the old location of Buttonwood Park in Perrysburg: 16486 Wapakoneta Road, Grand Rapids, Ohio 43522. Be a part of Native American Arts, Crafts, Dance, Food, Games, History, Music, and more!
The new location for this year offers over 40 acres of wooded trees, with a Woodland Indian Village, 1750 Trading Post, 1790 Tavern, 1800 Log Cabin and a Cricket Frog Pond.
The event has been listed as one of the Top 20 Great Escapes: Weekends Worth Having in the State of Ohio by the Cincinnati Magazine and has been listed a State of Ohio Top Event by The Ohio Arts Council, The Ohio Humanities Council and The Toledo Blade.
