The 1st Annual Blue Line 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is an event that raises money for the Wood County Police Honor Guard and the Ohio C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors). More than 20,000 police officers have made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting our communities, many of those, were Ohio law enforcement officers. The Ohio C.O.P.S. organization provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. The Ohio COPS organization represents survivors of Ohio officers and the families of officers from across the country who call Ohio home.

The Wood County Police Honor Guard is a group made up of dedicated police officers from Wood County police departments whose primary mission is to participate at funeral services for active, retired, and reserve officers, as well as active and retired government officials. We also participate in memorial services as well as parades and other civic events.
