Toledo Ballet Guild kicks off Nutcracker Season with Clara’s Tea Part on November 15.

The Toledo Ballet Guild announces that it will be hosting it’s annual Clara and Me Nutcracker Tea Party and Fashion Show Sunday, November 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Inverness Club, 4601 Dorr Street, Toledo, OH.

This special event for women and children celebrates the ballet’s 75th annual Nutcracker performance to be held on Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14, at the Stranahan Theater featuring the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and from the principal dancers Miami City Ballet and Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. The Toledo Ballet’s Nutcracker performance is recognized nationally as the oldest Nutcracker ballet in the country.

The Clara and Me Nutcracker Tea Party will include a delicious light luncheon to delight young and old palates. The highlight of the day will be introducing leading local dancers who will be performing in this year’s Nutcracker ballet. Dancers will be in costume to welcome tea guests including Clara. This year the role of Clara will be performed by two young dancers, Lauren Woodward, daughter of Carolyn and Steve Woodward, and Madyson Quinn Starner, daughter of Tamie Starner and Jim Miller.

A fashion show will include seasonal and holiday wear for women and children from several fine merchants including Sophia Lustig, Sophie’s Sister, Kid’s Klothesline, Opening Night, and Dancer’s Pointe. A quiet auction will feature holiday gifts for purchase. A raffle will feature Grace, the 2015 American Girl Doll of the year that is sure to be on this year’s Christmas list for young girls.

Tickets to Clara and Me Nutcracker Tea Party and Fashion Show are $25 per person.
Tables of 10 can be purchased in advance for $250. Clara and Me Nutcracker Tea Party sponsorship packages are available at $1,000, $500, and $350.
