Cutting Edge Theatre Company to Hold Inaugural Gala – Dec. 4

Cutting Edge Theatre Company will present its inaugural gala on Friday, December 4 at the Nederhouser Community Hall, 6930 W. Sylvania Ave. in Sylvania. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Under the direction of Stephanie L. Dennehy and musical direction of Todd Schreiber, the fundraising event will feature excerpts of monologues, songs and scenes from various future Cutting Edge productions by the following local performers: Elizabeth Cottle, Jared Dorotiak, Natalie May Kissinger, Todd Schreiber, Tader Shipley and Sarah Tallman Stierman.

Tickets cost $60 for individuals and $90 for couples at the door. Reserved seating is offered at a discounted rate of $45 for individuals if ordered by November 23. Catered hors d’oeuvres, desserts and alcohol are included.

Founded by Ms. Dennehy, Anne Clark, Melissa Grochowski and Courtney Grey, Cutting Edge Theatre Company aspires to produce professional level theater for the Greater Toledo Area, utilizing local talent. CETC’s mission is to encourage and educate the community through new visual art, plays and musicals.

“With thought-provoking theater, we will create an intimate experience that expands the minds and hearts of both theater-goers and artists,” said Ms. Dennehy. “CETC will also offer engaging, personal, and intense classes to help train local talent for the transition into professional theatre, and is integrating with the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.”
