In celebration of 100 years serving the Toledo area, the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the American Red Cross proudly welcomes country music superstars Old Dominion, with special guest Cassadee Pople, for a community birthday celebration.

The show takes place at the Hollywood Casino on Wednesday, June 29. Tickets are $45 and go on-sale Thursday, April 28th at

The event is presented by the Hollywood Casino as part of the Red Cross 2016 centennial celebration.

The show features two of the hottest acts in Country music. Cassadee Pope’s current duet with Chris Young, ‘Think of You’, sits at #3 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Old Dominion’s latest hit, ‘Snapback’ sits at #4.

“You only turn 100 once, so we wanted to throw an epic centennial birthday party where the entire community can join in the celebration,” says Rachel Hepner-Zawodny, Executive Director for the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the American Red Cross. “This is our opportunity where we can thank the community for a great 100 years, honor what our hard work our volunteers do every single day, all while educating the community of our mission and services.”

Old Dominion blends old-fashioned country charm, lyrical wit and rock n’ roll grit into radio-friendly hook-heavy pop nuggets and has emerged as one of the hottest breaking bands in country music. Nominated for two Academy of Country Music awards for Vocal Group of the Year and New Vocal Group or Duo of the Year, Old Dominion released their first full-length album Meat and Candy, which Entertainment Weekly called a “deceptively smart, occasionally cheeky, stellar debut.” The band is currently touring with Kenny Chesney as their second single, “Snapback” races up the charts. Consisting of lead singer Matthew Ramsey, lead guitarist Brad Tursi, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, bassist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whit Sellers, the band has spent seven years honing their craft, each making a name for themselves in Nashville by penning songs for the likes of Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney and more. They recently made their national television debuts on Jimmy Kimmel Live and the Today Show.

Cassadee Pope is an American singer and songwriter. She took part in the third season of The Voice and became the first female winner. Her debut solo country album, Frame by Frame, was released in 2013 and debuted at No. 1 on Top Country Albums. Her single, “Wasting All These Tears” has been certified platinum, selling more than 1 million copies. She is currently featured on the Top 10 song “Think of You,” a duet with Chris Young.

In 2016, the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the American Red Cross celebrates 100 years of serving the Toledo-area community. In June of 1916, a group of community leaders gathered at the Produce Exchange Building with the intent of forming a local chapter of the American Red Cross. On July 7th, 1916 a formal charter is obtained from the National Red Cross, and for the next 100 years the organization would provide aid, assistance, caring and compassion across Northwest Ohio.

For 2016, the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the American Red Cross celebrates its 100th birthday. Each month will have a different focus and activity, including:
