Josina Lott Residential & Community Services plays host to the 5th Annual Jog & Jaunt 5k/10k this Sunday morning, May 15th. Race registration begins at 7:30am and all races start at 9am from the beautiful campus of Josina Lott.

Run, walk, or roll with us in our traditional 5k, 10k, or 1.5 Mile Fun Walk! This annual event consistently delivers on its promise of fun for the whole family with all proceeds to benefit community integration programs in support of residents of Josina Lott and the individuals we serve in the community. Josina Lott plans to host 257 unique social activities, events, and day trips in 2016 to enrich the lives of those we serve. This programing provides residents and community member’s the opportunity to be involved in their community, practice self-determination in making choices, form meaningful relationships, and so much more.

Josina Lott Residential & Community Services is home to 33 individuals with developmental disabilities. In addition to those who live at Josina Lott, we also provide community based support for individuals with developmental disabilities in the Greater Toledo; making our services available around the clock if needed and encouraging participation in many of the social activities we host and sponsor throughout the year.

“We are proud to host this annual inclusive race”, says Michael Malone, Executive Director of Josina Lott. “Not only is it a platform to raise awareness and promote community integration, it is an important fundraiser for us. You have seen us at Toledo Mud Hens games, Toledo Rocket games, at our Toledo Zoo, and many other community events. Fundraisers like the Jog & Jaunt make these community outings possible. We are very blessed by the support of our local sponsors and the entire Toledo community.”

The registration fee for the Jog & Jaunt is just $25 and includes race t-shirt and hot breakfast following the race, while supplies last. This is a certified course and indoor facilities are available for pre/post-race activities. Masters and overall prizes, age group awards three deep for both 5k/10k for male and female age groups.
