Maumee, OH – May 14, 2016 – Radio Relay Day is Saturday June 25 – 26, 2016 on the grounds of the Wolcott Heritage Center in Maumee.

Members of the Toledo Mobile Radio Association will operate emergency communication equipment designed to be used without the Internet, power grid, or any other infrastructure required by cell phones, police/fire communications, or commercial broadcast stations.

Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) operators will use amateur radio, science, and skill to establish voice, digital, and data communications between cities and towns all over the United States and Canada.

Since 1933, ham radio operators across North America have established temporary ham radio stations in public locations during Radio Relay Day to showcase the science and skill of Amateur Radio.

This event is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend. Visit for additional information and driving directions.
