Santa and St. Francis Return for the Christmas holiday

Science Alliance for Valuing the Environment, Inc. (S.A.V.E.) presents “Santa, St. Francis and the Animals” once again this year on Saturday, December 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Canticle Center, 5335 Silica Drive, in Sylvania. The event is co-sponsored by the Lourdes University Education Department and the Center for Science Education and the Environment.

Those in attendance can have their photo taken with Santa. The photos will be printed on site. Additionally, youngsters can interact with various small furry friends and critters. Crafts, cookies, hot cocoa and additional fun activities are planned. The event is free and open to the public and designed for toddler ages through 6th graders.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation of cat and/or dog food to benefit Humane Ohio, a pet food bank for low income households.

The S.A.V.E. office is located on the grounds of the Sisters of St. Francis and home of Lourdes University.
