"Doing Business in China"

The Lourdes University College of Business and Leadership, and Enactus: The Business Club are pleased to present “Doing Business in China” on Thursday, March 30 at 7 p.m. at the Franciscan Center, 6832 Convent Blvd., in Sylvania. Dr. Shuming Zhao, Professor, Honorary Dean and Ph.D. Advisor at Nanzing University’s School of Business in China is the featured lecturer.

One of China’s leading academic authorities in the field of human resources, Dr. Zhao was one of the first scholars selected in management to receive support from China’s Excellent Young Scholars Fund. Named a Best Scholar by eight ministries of China, he also holds the First Level Scholar distinction by the “333 Trans-century Academic and Technological Chairperson Project.” Since 2000, Dr. Zhao has served as one of the three members of the Selection Committee for Tao Shing Pee Education Foundation (TSPEF) at the Harvard Business School.

Under his leadership, Nanzing University was honored for having a National Key Program in Business Administration. A member of the Science and Technology Academic Committee of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Zhao holds several high-ranking positions on undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

The esteemed scholar achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Nanjing University and a Master of Arts degree in Education and Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and Human Resource Management from Claremont Graduate University in California. His honors include Best Book Prize from the Ministry of Education for Research on Human Resource Management and Best Teaching Award and Outstanding Professor recognition from Jiangsu Province.
