Free Wood County Plant Exchange

The free Wood County Plant Exchange is the morning of Sat. April 29 in the Wood County Fairgrounds at Haskins and Poe roads on the north side of Bowling Green. It will accept plants and gently-used garden items from 9 to 10 a.m. and will begin the plant distribution at 10 until all are gone, usually by 11.

Attendees will receive two free plants and, in exchange for items people bring, additional plants. There will be info tables, demos, and retail booths.The event is organized by OSU Extension Wood County Master Gardener Volunteers. Information: 419-354-9050.

The 13th annual Toledo Plant Exchange will be Sat. May 6, beginning with drive-up plant drop-off from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the underground parking garage at the Main Library, 325 Michigan St. Enter on Adams between 10th and Michigan streets. The event and parking are free.
Gently-used garden-related items will also be accepted. While waiting for the 10 a.m. distribution of plants (it lasts about 30 min.), check out information booths, pick the brains of master gardeners, or visit the library.

All attendees will receive five free plants, plus additional plants for the items they bring. Please label your weed-free plants.
