Local Non-Profit Seeking Volunteers

Children’s Rights Collaborative of NW Ohio is looking for volunteers who want to make a difference in a child’s life. CRC provides a safe, secure, comfortable place for kids and their parents to come together when that parent has been court ordered supervised visitation. CRC’s volunteers are the ones that make this happen by sitting in on visits, not interacting, and taking notes. It’s a safe and fairly easy position. You can certainly come and play with the kids before and after the visit, when you volunteer. It helps them feel comfortable.

This is a very non-threatening volunteer position and you schedule yourself online once you are trained. Our visits happen Wed. Fri and Sun. 5-8p(with visits within that time frame also, 5-7, 6-8 etc.) We also have a Sun. shift 2:30-4:30. We have a long waiting list and without volunteers visits don’t happen so then what happens is we cancel those visits, not fun. Requirements are 18 and older, background check(we provide), we train you on the job, able to climb stairs, walk some distances (we have a playground and a gym at opposite ends of the church we use), good hearing is a must and be able to write legibly. Please contact us to sit in on a visit to see if it’s right for you. Our location is in West Toledo, by the mall. These families need you!
