Toledo, Ohio, (August 3, 2017) – The Board of Trustees of the Waterville Community Foundation, an affiliate of Toledo Community Foundation, has approved a grant from the Katherine R. Smith Fund for Abused Children to Children’s Rights Collaborative of NW Ohio in the amount of $7,040. This grant will be used to assist their Supervised Visitation Program and their Volunteer Program.

The Katherine R. Smith Funds for Youth provide support for programming that enhances the lives of young people up to the age of 18, with an emphasis on serving children with developmental disabilities or those who have been abused.

Volunteers facilitate the supervised visitation program and this grant will create a more robust recruiting, retention, and incentive program. Lack of volunteers creates waiting lists for families; this grant will make it a much faster process. This grant will also assist with the costs of supervised visits.
